Local residents are being given the chance to find out more about their local Fire and Rescue Service and win the opportunity to join the crews for a day at work at County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service’s Open Day at Bishop Auckland Community Fire Station.

The new Community Fire Station at Fylands Bridge will open its doors to the public from 11:30am to 4pm on Saturday 17th July.

Thank you to all the local businesses for their generous donations for the Fire and Rescue Authority Awards ceremony on 20th November 2009 which was held at Hardwick Hall Hotel in Sedgefield. Proceeds were shared between the Breast Cancer Campaign and Fire Fighter Charities. The event raised £1860.
