We offer a variety of fire awareness courses depending on the needs of the individuals and the companies. All of our courses can be tailored to address your individual needs based around one of the following formats:
One Day Fire Awareness Course

Suitable for
All staff, particularly those with a designated fire responsibility, working in industry, commerce or the public sector.
Aims of the course
To provide participants with a greater awareness and understanding of the threat posed by fire, their personal responsibility in preventing an outbreak where they work and, on the action to be taken should one occur.
On completion of the course participants will:
- have developed a greater awareness of the hazards of fire;
- understand the nature of fire and how it spreads;
- recognise the threat fire poses to people and property;
- appreciate the need for effective fire emergency procedures;
- have taken part in a realistic evacuation exercise, escaped from a smoke filled room (Optional);
And be able to:
- distinguish between the different types of extinguisher and the fires for which they are suitable;
- tackle small fires with confidence as a result of 'hands on' training; and
- communicate the fire safety message to their colleagues.

The minimum number of personnel required to attend this course is 6 and the maximum is 16. The price is inclusive of certificate, lunch, refreshments and any training materials used.
This course is also held on an 'open' basis each month when personnel below the minimum figures can attend. Dates available on request.

Half Day Fire Awareness Course

Suitable for
All staff working in offices, shops, factories and small commercial premises, or other persons who may have cause to use a portable fire extinguisher.
Aims of the course
To provide participants with a greater awareness and understanding of the threat posed by fire and the action to be taken should one occur.
On completion of the course, participants will:
- have developed a greater awareness of the hazards of fire;
- understand the nature of fire and how it spreads;
And be able to:
- distinguish between the different types of extinguisher and the fires for which they are suitable; and
- tackle small fires with confidence as a result of 'hands on' training.

To familiarise students with fire safety legislation relating to Residential Care and give awareness of the dangers of fire and smoke and the use of fire extinguishers.
On completion of the course, participants will:
- have a greater understanding of fire safety legislation and regulations relating to Residential Care;
- have developed a greater awareness of the hazards of fire;
- understand the nature of fire and how it spreads;
- recognise the threat fire poses to people and property;
- appreciate the need for effective fire emergency procedures;
- have taken part in a realistic exercise, escaped from a smoke filled room (Optional);
And be able to:
- distinguish between the different types of extinguisher and the fires for which they are suitable;
- tackle small fires with confidence as a result of 'hands on' training; and
- communicate the fire safety message to their colleagues.
Price
