Non-UniformedCurrent VacanciesTEMPORARY PART TIME - SENIOR CIVIL CONTINGENCIES OFFICERHOURS: 18.5 hours, Minimum 6 month starting September 2008 SALARY £28,172 - £30,598 (Pro rata) An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil Contingencies Officer post in the Civil Contingencies Unit to assist with the further development of our civil contingencies capabilities. The role is rewarding and challenging which will require the post holder to assist in the effective discharge of the duties and responsibilities of the Civil Contingencies Unit to the nine local authorities in County Durham and Darlington, ensuring that the responsibilities of the Local Authorities and other Category One responders on the Local Resilience Forum are discharged in accordance with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. You will need to be achievement focused, with strong communication, planning and project skills.
