Conditions of Service

Employed Under
National Joint Council (NJC) for Local Authorities’ Fire Services - Scheme of Conditions of Service and County Durham & Darlington Fire Authority’s Conditions of Service for Uniformed Members of the Fire Service.

Grade
Fire Control Operator

Salary Payment
Paid monthly directly into a specified bank or building society account - please note the change to original documentation sent out with application pack.

Hours of Work
Two day duties followed by two night duties over an eight day period.

Annual leave
The annual leave year runs from the 1st of January to 31st December. Entitlement is as per NJC scheme of conditions of service.

Notice period required by employer
One month in writing.

Pension Scheme
The post holder will be a member of the Occupational Pension Scheme

Sickness Payments
Up to a maximum of six months full pay and six months half pay

Allowances
As per NJC Scheme of Conditions of Service and County Durham and Darlington Fire Authority’s local agreements for uniformed members of the Service.
