Comprehensive Performance Assessment

Overview

CPA stands for Comprehensive Performance Assessment and is devised and run by the Audit Commission. County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Authority's CPA took place during January 2005. To find out how we are going to deliver our priorities over the next three years, and tackle the issues highlighted in our CPA, read our Improvement Plan ‘Driving Improvement’. Our progress against this Plan will be monitored by the Audit Commission.

The latest findings from the Authority's statutory audit can be viewed here Annual Audit and Inspection Letter March 2007. This provides an overall summary of the Audit Commissions assessment of the Authority and letter includes a review of how well the Authority has progressed (Direction of Travel report), a service assessment and the audit assessment of how well the Authority has managed its finances (the Use of Resources
scores).
