Health & Safety Our Health and Safety Policy Aims We have a Health and Safety Policy to ensure a positive approach to health and safety and, to ensure we persue the following aims:
- To undertake all activities in such a way as to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work of all employees;
- To establish and sustain a positive safety culture and environment , so that there is continuous awareness of health and safety issues adopted, and that an effective monitoring system is adopted and maintained;
- To ensure that all individuals understand their responsibilities for health and safety, and that there is effective monitoring of their performance;
- To ensure that training in health and safety issues is given to all officers, managers and employees;
- To ensure that other organisations working on our premises, e.g. contractors, fully understand their responsibilities and the work procedures;
- To arrange effective consultative arrangements for health and safety matters, and adequate means for communicating health and safety policy and advice; and
- To ensure that arrangements are established, whereby risks to health and safety are identified and appropriate actions taken to ensure that they are eliminated or controlled.
