Breathing Apparatus Resuscitation Equipment The administration of oxygen during resuscitation or for casualties suffering from hypoxia (depletion of oxygen in the blood) is a vital part of the firefighter's role. To meet this need a resuscitation kit is carried on all fire appliances.
Each resuscitation kit consists of:
- 1 carrying bag containing;
- 1 life support products oxygen regulator;
- 1 oxygen cylinder;
- 2 adult non-rebreather mask ;
- 1 child non-rebreather mask;
- 1 resuscitation mask (with oxygen inlet);
- 1 adult bag - valve - mask;
- 1 child bag - valve - mask;
- 1 infant mask;
- Oxygen tubing with push on fitting;
- 3 oral airways (Size 1, 2 & 3);
- Aspirator;
- 4 clinical waste bags; and
- 2 cervical collars.
