History and Background
Located in Easington District, the Station provides cover for Wheatley Hill, the Trimdons,Thornley, Cassop, Quarrington Hill and Kelloe. The Station is situated just off the A181 Durham to Hartlepool road. There are a large number of small industrial units, on industrial estates, throughout the area as well as a large number of farms. The Station provides additional cover to Peterlee for incidents on the A19 road.
