Local Fire StationsNewton Aycliffe
History and Background Newton Aycliffe Fire Station is situated on Central Avenue (close to the town centre) in a central location to respond to both domestic and industrial incidents. Formally a day-manned station, it was upgraded in 1961 and extended and modernised in 1992.The station has two appliances with fire fighting and rescue capabilities. The Station covers 98 sqkm of domestic and industrial risk including: the A1M; the main North East Rail Line; and Teeside Airport. Appliances and Equipment
