Careers

Wholetime

Firefighters have a much wider role than to extinguish fires; they attend a wide range of incidents including road traffic accidents, chemical spills and yes, even trapped animals.
They also visit homes and community groups and special events in order to advise and educate people about minimising the risks of fire.

Wholetime Firefighter
A firefighter's role is open to anyone who can demonstrate not only physical strength and stamina, but also intelligence, bravery, strength of character and compassion.

The training is intense and thorough and includes theoretical lectures as well as practical exercises.
