Policies, Plans & ProceduresIntegrated Risk ManagementReducing the RiskIn April 2003, the Government issued a circular instructing all fire and rescue authorities to develop an Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP). The subsequent publication of the Government's White Paper 'Our Fire & Rescue Service' detailed the Government's vision for the future of the Fire Service. A key element in the delivery of this vision was Integrated Risk Management Planning. For more information about Integrated Risk Management Planning, please view our simple guide to IRMP. In March 2004, County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Authority published its ‘Integrated Risk Management Plan’ – this important document identifies the risks to communities within the area and how the Authority and its partners would work together to reduce these for everyone who lives and works in County Durham and Darlington. Please view County Durham and Darlington Fire Authority's IRMP 2004/05 We promised to review this document on a regular basis – this review has resulted in the publication of a draft - 'Year 3 Improvement Plan - this document provides an overview of the Service and its plans for 2006/07. Consultation on our improvement proposals for 2006/07 has now been completed - a full report will be submitted to the Combined Fire Authority for full discussion in March 2006 - please visit our Combined Fire Authority area for more information and meeting dates.
