A joint investigation by County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service and Durham Constabulary is under way after a 65 year old woman died following a fire at her home in Newton Aycliffe on Monday 14th May.
The Fire & Rescue Service received a 999 call at 12.47pm reporting a fire in a terraced house in Honister Place, Newton Aycliffe with at least one person possibly trapped in the premises.
